Heads up, addicts!

The window for input on the first batch of drafts for the Spiritual Principle a Day (SPAD) Book Project closes in TEN DAYS. Your feedback will improve these drafts and the rest of the book. Please help us fine-tune our approach to developing this piece of literature by participating in review and input (R&I) on the first batch of entries by 1 September 2019. You’ll find everything you need to participate on the SPAD landing page.

If you don’t have time to review the entire 48-page batch, perhaps you can commit to tackling just a quarter of the entries. Reviewing twelve entries on a single principle—love, acceptance, surrender, or unity—will give you a good sense of the direction to date. Fight that urge to be an all or nothing person! We truly appreciate any and all feedback you’re willing to offer.

We’re aiming to circulate three more review and input (R&I) batches before the approval draft is finalized for the 2020 Conference Agenda Report. In addition to more daily entries, the next R&I batch will include a draft of the book’s preface and the complete list of principles we intend to address. Look for its release in early November 2019.

Please continue to submit your writing and encourage your friends and sponsees. Visit www.na.org/spad and check out the current list of principles and quotations. Use the quotes to prompt your writing and submit from any connected device, or download materials to facilitate a workshop.

Thank you for pitching in on this book project!

Online Meetings Webinar

We also want to remind you that we have scheduled a webinar on 14 September, 11:00 am to 12:30 pm, Pacific Daylight Time, to discuss best practices about online meetings. We sent out an email 6 August about this webinar, which is open to any member who wants to share their experiences with online meetings. As a reminder, some of the questions we may ask include:

What is working best?
How do online meetings handle contributions?
How do online meetings handle literature?
How do they interface with the existing NA community?

Log-in information for the meeting is below. If you’ve never participated in a NAWS webinar, please read the Web Meeting Orientation posted at www.na.org/conference.

Please plan to log on early to test your connection and computer audio so that we can start the meeting on time. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to email us at wb@na.org. See you in September.
